Unique Whanganui Consultants is a Māori facilitation and advisory service dedicated to supporting whānau, hapū, iwi, and Māori-led organisations to confidently engage with their whenua, governance responsibilities, and collective decision-making.
We specialise in facilitating kaupapa that matter, from Māori land and trust governance to strategic planning, charter development, mediation, and whenua reconnection processes. Our team brings years of experience working alongside Māori communities, the Māori Land Court, government agencies, and kaupapa Māori entities across Aotearoa.
We understand that the mahi is not just technical, it’s relational, historical, emotional, and political. That’s why we walk alongside our clients, creating safe and inclusive spaces where kōrero can happen, decisions can be made, and futures can be shaped.

Facilitation & Engagement
We provide independent, kaupapa Māori facilitation to support kōrero, decision-making, and conflict resolution across a wide range of kaupapa. Whether it's an AGM, SGM, wānanga, or a sensitive hui involving multiple stakeholders, we create safe and inclusive spaces where everyone can be heard. Our approach is grounded in tikanga, designed to de-escalate tension, build trust, and help groups move forward together — especially in challenging or court-appointed environments. We work with whānau, trustees, hapū, and government agencies to guide conversations that matter.
Whenua & Māori Land Support
Our roots are in whenua — and we work with whānau and trusts to reconnect with, understand, and plan for their land. From succession and ownership mapping to ahu whenua trust support and land-use planning, we guide Māori through complex legal, emotional, and whakapapa-based processes. We help unlock opportunities for whenua development, while always respecting the cultural and spiritual connections to the land. Our approach is whānau-first, and built to ensure intergenerational kaitiakitanga.
Governance & Strategy
Strong governance is the foundation of thriving Māori entities. We help trusts, marae committees, rūnanga, and PSGEs strengthen their governance through charter development, trustee training, policy support, and strategic planning.
